Η Μάντλιν Μίλερ πήρε πτυχίο και μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο σπουδών από το Πανεπιστήμιο Μπράουν στα Λατινικά και τα Αρχαία Ελληνικά, τα οποία και διδάσκει τα τελευταία εννέα χρόνια. Επίσης έχει σπουδάσει στη Σχολή Θεατρικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Γέιλ, με ειδικότητα στην προσαρμογή και τη μεταφορά κλασικών μύθων στη σημερινή εποχή. Το “Τραγούδι του Αχιλλέα” αποτέλεσε το πρώτο της βιβλίο.
